Why is TOEFL shown as a range, not a single score?
Pearson publishes an official concordance for IELTS but not for TOEFL — TOEFL is owned by ETS. Published PTE ↔ TOEFL comparisons are therefore indicative ranges assembled from external research, not equivalences.
Do I need to sit the TOEFL if I already have PTE?
Usually no — most universities accept either. But some programs list only TOEFL or only IELTS in their entry requirements. Always check the exact test your target institution lists on their admissions page.
